As the first semester of school comes to an end, we find ourselves approaching one of the most beloved breaks (second only to summer vacation) of the school year: Christmas break. This year, Scholar's Guild students are lucky: we have five whole weeks off for break! With all this time, students are bound to be doing all sorts of intriguing things, so interviewing a few SGA students was an absolute must!
One of our fabulous sixth-graders, Claire Brothers, has some fascinating things planned for Christmas break! "I am going to my grandparents' house and riding four-wheelers at their farm. I like doing it with my brothers 'cause they get to come home from college." Riding with her older brother, Daniel, is especially exciting because "he is in the Navy right now," explains Claire. Christmas will be a special time for Claire and her family.
Tatiana Crook, a wonderful seventh-grader, also has rather exciting plans for this season's break. "My little brother is visiting me . . . we both are adopted, so he lives in a different state." Tatiana smiled brightly as she explained this to me. "We like playing Fortnite and soccer." She proceeded to tell me how seeing her brother always makes her happy. It looks like this Christmas break is calling for sibling reunions all around.
Josh Fagan, a bright tenth-grader here at SGA, has some interesting adventures planned as well. "I think we might go on vacation somewhere." When asked where, he replied that he was not sure, but he might be going to a beach somewhere with a large number of family members. He also mentioned playing games such as foosball and ping pong. Hey, what's better than games at the beach with your family?

And so, as Christmas break draws nearer, Scholar's Guild students begin anticipating their thrilling escapades. Whether it be four-wheeling with siblings or traveling to the beach with family, the students here all seem to have some enjoyable experience or another planned out for Christmas break!
