The Gift

Praise in Motion is a non-profit Christian dance ministry seeking to praise the Lord with dance! Praise in Motion is a place for dancers, young and old, to use their talents to glorify God. The company’s key verse is Psalm 149:3, “Let them praise His name with dance.” Praise in Motion presents two full-length concerts a year in a theater setting as well as appearances in the community upon request throughout the year. They present one performance in the fall, titled The Gift, depicting the story of Christ from His birth, to His death and resurrection, to His coming again, and one in the spring featuring a different repertoire each year based on a Christian theme.
Praise in Motion’s upcoming performance of The Gift is less than a month away and it is definitely something that you don’t want to miss. This year the storyline will revolve around four young girls at a Christmas lock-in. One of the girls is having a hard time celebrating the first Christmas after her mother’s death, so in hopes to restore her Christmas spirit, her three friends decide to give her the gift of a Bible. After everyone goes to sleep the four girls sit down to read the Christmas story. And to their surprise, as they begin to read, the entire stories come to life behind them. Told through beautiful choreography and beloved Christian music, the visualization of this heartwarming story is sure to set your mind on the real reason for the Christmas season. Join us in watching two of Scholars Guild’s very own, Ashley Strange and Nancy Marie Glasscock, use their God-given talents to spread the news of the greatest gift you could ever receive.
The Gift is a free event that will be held on Saturday, November 17th at 2:30pm and 7:30pm located at The Venue at Friendship Springs, behind the Publix.
