On December 5 and 6, I took part in the first annual “Best Christmas Pageant Ever” musical in Commerce. (The new movie is also another great holiday flick, as well as tear-jerking!). Recently, I interviewed a few of my fellow cast members! Here’s what they had to say:

What did you like most about your character?

Keo (Helen Armstrong) - “She was bossy and controlling at first, but after witnessing the blessing of Jesus through the very kids she judged, she experienced a change of heart.”

Mady (Gladys Herdman) - “I love the sass and attitude that Gladys has.”

Grace (Imogene Herdman) - “I really like that she had a soft spot for her younger siblings and stepped up to take care of them while their mother was never there.”

Devin (Ralph Herdman) - “I liked that, although he did not have many speaking roles throughout the show, he was still a big impact on it. There always seemed to be a revolving fear or intimidation around him.”

What was your favorite part of the show?

Lydia (Claude Herdman) - “Die Herod Die!”

Grace (Imogene Herdman) - “When Leroy, Claude, and Ollie brought baby Jesus all the very best things from their food basket as gifts during the nativity scene!”

Stacey (Connie) - “The opening scene.”

Keo (Helen Armstrong) - “Singing with you all! Although I didn’t get to be a part of my favorite song, ‘Hey, Missus Bradley!’”

What did you take away from the show?

Lydia (Claude Herdman) - “That no matter whether you’re clean or dirty, rich or poor, you still have the exact same worth to God.”

Abigail (Alice Wendelken) - “It was a good reminder of Jesus’ love for all of us and how he came to Earth to bring peace, love, hope, and life to us.”

Devin (Ralph Herdman) - “It mainly taught me never to count someone out and always welcome them with open arms.”

Tiffany (Luanne )- “That Christmas is not about presents as in material things, but the ultimate gift, Jesus Christ.”

Merry Christmas!
