As the school year wraps up, there are a lot of fun events to look forward to. Nothing makes a party better than good snacks. Whether it’s a graduation party, pool party, or just a warm afternoon, here are some great snacks to celebrate the season!

Strawberry lemon sorbet is great on a hot day! All you have to do to make it is blend strawberries and lemon juice, spread it on a baking sheet, and freeze it. The hardest part is remembering to make it far enough in advance for it to have time to freeze.

The next frozen treat is a classic: ice cream sandwiches! To make these, simply lay out a layer of chocolate graham crackers, add a layer of ice cream on top, place a second layer of chocolate graham crackers, and voila! Easy ice cream sandwiches. To spice things up, you can add sprinkles or other toppings on the sides, try a different flavor of ice cream, or even layer multiple flavors of ice cream.

Thomas Jefferson brought French fries back to the US in the early 19th century, but now you can make them with watermelon! Simply cut a watermelon in half, cut one half into thin slices, and cut out rectangles. If you want to plate them, making a sauce can be a great addition. Simply add lemon juice, powdered sugar, and some blended watermelon to a bowl and mix.

Apples are a great fruit, but sliced apples will turn brown. If you make them into Sour Patch Kids, you eliminate that problem, and it is a great way to add flavor. Just take an apple, cut out the core, slice it thinly, and then use a small gingerbread man cookie cutter to cut out pieces of the apple. After that, take your apple men and dunk them in lemon juice, sprinkle them with sugar and citric acid to taste.

Finally, we have a delicious summer drink that you can flavor with almost any frozen fruit. Just take a cup and fill it up halfway with lemonade, and place it in the fridge because you will want it to be very cold. Next, take whatever frozen fruit and blend it; after that, add it to the lemonade and mix. For some extra flavor, make ice cubes out of fruit juice or lemonade, and add a piece of fruit to them. You can use your choice of fruit, but strawberry and blackberry are the classics!
