Wandering through Downtown Atlanta can be SO exhausting! You’ve hit the same stores and coffee shops as you did on your last day trip, and you desperately need to shake the Saturday up a bit. At the drop of a hat, a thought floats into your mind: it’s Black History Month, so let's find some small Black-owned businesses to support! If you can’t make a stop to them in person, most of their stores are online, too!

God is Dope

Looking for a new everyday shirt to wear to the gym AND to church? This Christian-based company sells apparel ready for Wednesday night worship at 787 Windsor St. SW. Check out their dope items for sale!

ZuCot Gallery

In search of a new painting to give your room some personality? ZuCot Gallery is the largest African-American-owned gallery in the southeast. Each of these pieces for sale is made by local artists, and not a multi-million dollar company! Take a look at the gallery in Castleberry Hill!

44th & 3rd Bookseller

Where, oh where, can one find a new book these days? 44th & 3rd Bookseller has the perfect read for you, from a goofy literary fiction to a tear-jerking memoir. Make sure you take a peek inside the store at 451 Lee Street!

Miss D’s Pralines

Craving a sweet treat to tie you over until the next stop? Miss D’s Pralines is packed with pralines (of course!), candies, and delicious popcorn to nibble on. Take a bite at The Municipal Market where Miss D sells her treats!

Marcus Bar & Grille

Is your stomach growling after a long day in the city? Order up some comfort food, mouth-watering sides, and unique vegan options! This restaurant on 525 Edgewood Ave, open between 4-5 pm, is the perfect spot for a memorable dinner.

After a well-packed day in Atlanta, don’t forget to leave the businesses a review online! These spots are just a few of the many Black owned businesses, and it’s always a good idea to support other ones closer to you. Shopping local during Black History Month celebrates the beautiful community that this month is all about!
