All you really need in life are your girls. A Galentine’s party is the perfect way to celebrate the friendships that mean the most to you. It’s about laughing over inside jokes, dancing around the room, and just enjoying being together. If you love pink, hearts, and anything sparkly, this is your sign — it’s time to start planning a Galentine’s night with your favorite people.

  1. Send out those invitations!

The first thing on the to-do list is to make a guest list. You can have a Galentine’s party with those in your SGA classes, sports teams, youth groups, neighbors, and your family! Once you have party-goers in mind, it’s time to make an invitation. There are tons of templates on Canva and Evite, you can hand-make them yourself, or even just send a quick text in a group chat. Once you have a date and place that everyone can make it to, it’s time to plan the fun stuff!

  1. Activity ideas

Set out some paint and canvases for a painting night! Ask a parent to help you set up paper on a table or another form of protection for the girls to make their masterpieces. Hearts, bows, flowers, or a cute quote make for perfect inspiration.

  1. Say cheese! A great way to capture your Galentine’s is with a spot for photos! Banners, signs, or props are so cute to incorporate into a hangout with your favorite girls. Have a parent snap a few pictures to remember the night.

  1. Make flower bouquets! Buying flowers in bulk and then crafting arrangements yourself is so much fun, and even better to do it with friends. You can use them as photo props, too! They can be personalized to your favorite colors or flowers to make the activity uniquely yours.

These are just a few ideas to get your Galentine’s started, and it’s never too late to plan one! Valentine’s Day is an amazing time to celebrate all types of love- especially platonic shared in groups of your girl friends. Remember to make the holiday special by sharing it with those you adore!
