Homemade Christmas Gift Ideas

Updated: Nov 29, 2022

Are you stumped on what to get for your loved ones for Christmas? Or do you want to make something yourself that is more unique and special than a dollar store gift to show that you truly care? Well, then this is for you! I have compiled a list of the five best homemade gifts that will have you ready to hit the crafts to begin making something truly special while having fun doing it.

  1. Jarred mixes.

Are you a “throw it all in and see what works” type of person? Well if you are, then you will love this gift! All you needed is a mason jar, some ingredients, and your creativity to put any spin you would like on a classic idea. Here are three of my personal favorite jar mixes:

Hot cocoa-

2. Mason Jar Snow Globe

This adorable gift is the perfect craft for the holidays and has very simple materials. Try this and use whichever ornament you want on the inside to fit the person who you make it for, and to get a customizable and fun result!

3. Tea Cup Candles

Do you already make candles at home or have a lot of extra jars or cups around that no one uses anymore? Then try this homemade gift of making your own candles. This tutorial uses teacups for a cute and unique result, but you can use any jar you have to make them the same way!

4. Jarred Spices

Who doesn’t love a good Christmas-flavored spice? This is the perfect gift for someone who cooks or bakes and is always in the kitchen! This recipe shows you how to make the perfect pumpkin spice which you can then label and put in a jar to wrap, but any spice that is used often by your loved one will work perfectly here!

5. Hot Chocolate Bombs

Hot chocolate mix is a classic Christmas gift, but have you ever attempted to make hot chocolate bombs? They are perfect for kids and adults, and are fun to use and make! Try these out if you are a whiz in the kitchen and have some extra chocolate on hand.

These are my five favorite choices for homemade gifts during the holidays. I hope that they inspire you to be creative and have fun, as well as put your own spin on these ideas to fit you and the person receiving the gift. Now go put on some Christmas music and get crafting!
