On a December morning, you wake up still anticipating the coming holiday. You go about your regular morning routine, wondering what kind of gifts you’ll get this year for the holidays. Looking outside, you see that it is snowing. After putting on your winter clothing, you go outside, ready to have some fun in the snow. Snow angels, sled rides, and snowball fights are all part of what you did during the time spent outside with yourself, with friends, and even with family. After a while, you start to feel chilly, and you decide to come back home.
Although it is cold outside, the warmth inside the house makes up for it, both literally and figuratively. After taking the weight of your winter clothing off, you sit near the cozy, warm fireplace. Later, you and your family eat a delicious meal together, and afterwards, you grab some dessert, sit on the couch, and watch a Christmas movie with your family. The warmth comes not only from the fireplace in the living room but also from your family and the good memories associated with them. As you take in this warmth, you think to yourself, “This is the most wonderful time of the year.”
