As a senior, it is hard to encapsulate just how much the journalism club has meant to me throughout my four years of being in it. I joined the club as a freshman after a friend suggested that I do it. Immediately after the first meeting, I knew journalism was something special. After two years of being a member, I became the leader in my junior year. It has been the most enriching experience watching people discover their artistic voice and channel it into articles in each publication. As I prepare to enter the University of Georgia as a journalism major, no less, I am increasingly grateful for the laughter, the friendships, and the lessons I learned while in this club. I will miss the Guild Gazette; however, I will always strive to “Write the Truth with Grace.”
Signing off,
Savannah Celeste
