Easy Autumn Snacks!

As fall is quickly approaching, there are many ways to get into the festive fall mood. My favorite way to celebrate this cozy season is with some easy snacks! As someone who CANNOT cook, these recipes are super easy and tasty!

This first one is a sweet and salty autumn mix! The ingredients you will need are:

  • Candy corn or candy pumpkins

  • popcorn

  • pretzels

  • Chex cereal

  • marshmallows!

To elevate the fall feel, add some Honey Nut Cheerios, brown sugar, or even maple syrup! From the Inspired by Charm article I found, Michal Wurm, Jr., says once you mix up all the snacks in a bowl, you have a perfect on-the-go fall snack!

Another no-baking dessert is Puppy Chow! Although the name is misleading, this is NOT for dogs! From what the Southern Living website says, you will need:

  • chocolate chips

  • peanut butter

  • Chex mix

  • salted butter.

Microwave the chips, peanut butter, and butter together, then mix until smooth. Next, pour the mixture over the Chex mix. Once coated, you can add powdered sugar! You can also add the pretzels or candy corn to this from the last recipe!

This next one is super easy; it's a caramel apple dip! You could buy this simple thing at the store, but it's more fun to make! My mom used to make this, and now I enjoy making this quick but tasty treat! You can buy caramel candies from any store and melt them in the microwave. Once you have some apple slices, you have made a semi-healthy fall treat!

This last one requires more baking than the others, but it is worth it! They are Oatmeal Cookies with Icing! What you will need is :

  • 3 cups of oats

  • 1 ½ cups of flour

  • 1 ½ teaspoons of ground cinnamon

  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda

  • ¾ teaspoons of ground ginger

  • ½ teaspoon of baking powder

  • ½ teaspoon of salt

  • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves

  • ½ cup of softened butter

  • ½ cup of shortening

  • One ⅓ cup packed brown sugar

  • Two eggs

  • One tablespoon of molasses

  • One teaspoon of vanilla extract

For the next steps, you add the ingredients and bake the cookies, but for more in-depth steps, here is the link for the full recipe:

And lastly, the icing. You will need 2 cups of powdered sugar, 3 tablespoons of melted butter, 2 tablespoons of milk, and ½ tablespoons of vanilla extract. Next, blend them all until smooth and pour over the fresh cookies!

All these recipes are super yummy and easy! These are perfect for the transition into fall. Now grab a cozy blanket, turn on a fall feels movie, and have a yummy Autumn treat! I hope you enjoy it!
