What are the small and beautiful details of my days?
Waking up to a new day healthy and alive
Being content in my own skin
Along with comfort from soft blankets derived
And the feeling of freedom within
Having some quiet alone time
Fellowship with my Heavenly Father
The sound of the wonderful windchimes
And a good book with no bother
A walk with the sound of wind in the trees
Water lazily swimming through the stream
The puffy clouds floating with the breeze
And the fresh air feeling like a dream
The pitter-patter of rain falling from the sky
Music floating through the atmosphere
Laughing until you think you’ll die
And the friends you love being here
A pen that glides smoothly over the notepad
A soft cat to pet when the evening comes
Getting everything done and feeling glad
And then to the comfort of sleep I succumb
These are the small and beautiful details in my days.
