As the season changes and the rain becomes more common, it can be hard to find fun things to do at home. Here are some fun suggestions to pass the rainy season!
Movie Marathon: Movies are so fun, especially when the rain is pouring down outside! The best way to stay warm and dry is to curl up on your couch with a big blanket. It’s best when you have your favorite snacks, a fire in the fireplace, and put your favorite movie on! If you’re looking for several movies to watch back to back, I recommend Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean, or the Marvel movies! All of these options have several movies to them and will be a fun way to pass the time!
Bake: I’m not sure about you, but I love baking! If you have the right ingredients, you can bake cookies, brownies, et cetera. This is a really fun way to pass the time, and you get a yummy treat out of it!
Read: I love to read so, personally, my favorite thing is to lie on the couch, wrapped up in my favorite blanket, and read books with my sisters! There are so many fun, creative books to choose from that will help you relax and enjoy your rainy day. If you’re not a big reader, you can listen to your books on Audible!
Board Games: If you have a big, competitive family like mine, board or card games are a really fun way to spend the day! You can also make up your own, fun games!
Nerf Gun War: If you are home with a few of your family members and have the guns and bullets at home, this could also be a fun way to spend your day! You can find hiding places in your house and fire away. This is super fun, until someone gets shot in the face.
Do a Puzzle: If you enjoy solving things, a puzzle is perfect for you! There are lots of options, such as a 100 piece, 500 piece, 1,000 piece, or a 2,000 piece puzzle. Needless to say, you have a lot of different options, depending on how ambitious you’re feeling.
Sleep: When it’s rainy outside and your house is quiet, taking a nap or listening to music is relaxing and will help reset you for your week.
