The Worker's Prayer

Updated: Jul 4, 2022

By Katherine Griscom

The work is heavy, yet we are grateful.

For harder times, we prepare

Be it winter or be it drought.

The weight on our backs cannot compare

To our strength, but never our doubt.

We draw our strength from peace and past.

We know the work won’t always last.

We work to support our children

In a simple hope that they won’t have to slave

Yet learn they

The value of work.
