By Katherine Griscom
The sky has its dark days,
or light seems to rest,
but with the night time comes
a different kind of test.
In the darkness, you will see
the little things that brighten
the void into a shining sea
of a simplicity forgotten.
Our hope is like the stars,
or their brightness in a way,
shining in the darkness
and bringing promises of the day.
Put faith in the stars,
who collectively won't fail,
to shine in the darkest hour,
and sing the sun shall prevail.
