Teachers are a key part of Scholars Guild, and what better way to appreciate them than give them their favorite treats? SGA's very own BETA Club did just that on February 11th. Members from the club signed up for the event and were assigned a teacher. Then they received information about the teacher's favorite treat. Thanks to Mrs. Payton, BETA Club was able to give all the teachers a surprise and a note of appreciation.
We all love to be loved, and of course, you want to keep your teachers happy. Mrs. Penn, a
Spanish teacher at SGA, says that the event is super fun and, "Makes us happy"
Mrs. Yount, who teaches history at SGA, says that "The gift is wonderful, but I love the
personal note." She explained that it gives a sense of value to the teachers. She also stated that, "It was a great surprise and delight" and that it was "really encouraging and affirming."

When I asked Mrs. Mozley, a literature teacher at SGA, about the event, she said that she felt especially appreciated. She also told me that, "The gifts and all of the decorations definitely make it a great place to be."
I don't know about you, but as far as I can tell, the teacher appreciation this winter went
extremely well. It helped to boost the morale of Scholars Guild Academy and made it an even better place to work! Special thanks to all the teachers (and administration, of course) that work hard every week to help us learn!
