Good Things That Came From Coronavirus

It can be very easy to focus on all of the negatives about our world’s current state. With all of the bad things happening around us, it can be challenging to be happy. But, being happy is exactly the thing this world could use right now. Coronavirus may have taken away lots of things, but it also provided us with new things to be thankful for. There are good things that came from the Coronavirus, and I’m going to remind us of the positives that came from this difficult time.

  1. Board games made a comeback. With the extra time we were given, board games became the new pastime. Even people who thought they would never play another board game picked up the hobby.

  2. Music appreciation rose and we got new songs. We all began listening to music more often due to the extra time we had. Not only did we start listening more, but artists began making new songs for their fans.

  3. Communities learned better hygiene. Coronavirus forced us all to be aware of our hygiene, which is an important thing to be aware of. The world will remember these skills in the future, and our society overall will be more safe and clean.

  4. Technology improved. We were able to learn better digital communication. How cool is it that we can attend class from our own bedrooms?

  5. We were reminded of the importance of relationships. When we are cut off from things, we tend to realize how much they mean to us. This quarantine reminded us all that relationships are important, and we all learned how to maintain them through anything.

  6. Awareness for mental health and illnesses became more common. Before Coronavirus, there was some talk on mental health, but definitely not enough. As the lockdown dragged on, we all began to be more open with our struggles and were able to help other people dealing with the same things.

  7. We had time to learn new things and work on talents. Quarantine gave us all lots of extra time. School was closed, we couldn’t hang out with friends; we had nothing to do. So, with the extra time we had, a lot of us took the time to learn new things or work on talents we already had. The extra time gave us all chances to better ourselves.
