Hello again! I’m coming to you now with some fun places to go hiking. I know the outdoors aren’t for everyone, but I personally LOVE to explore nature! So for the few who are like me, enjoy this short list of fun places to hike;
Skidaway Island Big Ferry Trail

Located near Savannah, this trail stretches through marshes with Spanish moss hanging from the trees’ boughs; the beautiful nature is sure to awe.
Davidson-Arabia Nature Preserve
Where? Stonecrest, Georgia

Difficulty Level? Varies from season to season, and which trail you decide to take
Characterized by many gorgeous fauna in the spring and summer, and by granite craters and a lush forest, this is a perfect and gorgeous place to hike, but be aware that if you hike the loop in the middle of summer, you will get VERY hot, so be sure to not forget a water bottle (speaking from personal experience here people).
Lower Conasauga River Trail
Where? Cohutta Wilderness, near Ellijay and Blue Ridge, Georgia
How Long? 13.2 miles round trip
Difficulty Level? More Difficult/ Intermediate
A vast, lush wilderness, intersected by rivers, this area is great for hiking or backpacking. It’s strikingly beautiful and is best hiked in a cooler season, so as not to die of heat.
Providence Canyon
Where? Near Columbus, Georgia

Sometimes known as the little grand canyon, this place in Georgia is as beautiful as its name. It’s an amazing place to practice photography, and there’s always something new to explore.
Fort Mountain Overlook Trail
Where? Fort Mountain State Park
How Long? 1.5 miles round trip
Difficulty Level? Moderate
This hike is gorgeous, complete with a stunning view, a winding mysterious stone wall, and a castle-like forest fire lookout tower. The hike is particularly striking in the fall, when all the leaves are changing color, and looking down on the valley, you see mixed shades of red, yellow, and orange.
Brasstown Bald Hike
Where? Chattahoochee - Oconee National Forest
How Long? 1.2 miles round trip
Difficulty Level? Moderate/ Hard
As the highest point in Georgia, this peak offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys, letting you look into four different states at once; Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, and North Carolina. You can even see downtown Atlanta on a clear day!
Raven Cliff Falls Trail
Where? Chattahoochee National Forest near Helen, Georgia
How Long? 4.9 miles round trip
Difficulty Level? Moderate
This trail leads to a massive 40-foot tall cliff, from which a waterfall cascades down and slices the cliff in half. On the way to the waterfall, many small tiered waterfalls can be seen in the lush forest, moss clinging to the rocks beside them.
