From Sunset to Sunrise

Sun descends, ablaze,

Painting sky in hues of gold,

Day yields to the night.

Softly falls the night,

Stars twinkle in darkened skies,

Peaceful slumber comes.

In light's absence cast,

Shadows stretch, dance and linger,

Silent companions.

Gentle light awakes,

Nature stirs from peaceful sleep,

New day's hope arrives.
