Fall is in the air, and I don’t know about you, but I thrive during this particular season. There are so many things to enjoy while the leaves are falling down. And, for those who are still sad that summer is over, I’m happy to give you a few examples of what.
Outdoor time-
There are few things more refreshing than going outside on a sixty-degree day. As long as it’s not too windy, picnics are still, if not more, enjoyable now. I also encourage you to play sports during this time. Even going for a run doesn’t kill you like it does in the summer. I usually play baseball with my dad and little brother, and we go a long time without getting hot and tired. Talking about this kind of physical activity brings me to my next subtopic...
Sports-
Lots of people watch sports. Some on a daily basis, some every now and then. In my opinion, fall sports are the best. You’ve got the playoffs in baseball, which are my favorite thing to watch during the fall when every pitch gets ninety percent more intense. You’ve also got pro and college football. I’m not huge into this sport, but I do happily participate in Superbowl parties we occasionally have or attend… even if it is just for the cheese and bean dip!
Wardrobe-
Another pastime for some people at the start of autumn is shopping. Fall does allow you a wider range of fashion to experiment with, although I mostly just stick to flannels. So, if you’re more of a casual person, shopping for trendy fall clothing items may not be for you. But if you love to visit outlet malls, take this advice.
Scents-
I love holiday candles. If you’re agreeing with me right now, don’t forget to light one every now and then. They can cheer you up and stimulate relaxation at the same time. Plus, the scents of some of these candles can really put you in the autumn spirit, such as apple-cinnamon and pumpkin spice. Be checking your weather app too. I don’t don’t know about you, but lighting the first fire of winter (or fall, depending on the temperature) is always memorable.
Autumn is my favorite time of the year, for multiple reasons - another being that it branches off into the holiday season! I hope you can all take the time to test out some of my favorite activities listed yourself, especially if you're not regularly loving fall. You’ll be pleasantly surprised, I can predict.
