Fall is a wonderful time of year. This season brings a shift in weather, beautiful scenery, fun activities, and preparation for the approaching holidays. Although most people stay busy during these months, there are some fun and relaxing activities that are great if small chunks of time are set aside for them. A fall bucket list is a great way to plan different things throughout the season. If you’re not sure where to start, here are a few ideas:
Make a fall playlist
As teenagers, we tend to have a playlist for every situation and mood. Why not add fall to the mix and relax with some acoustic and indie tunes?
Visit a pumpkin patch or apple orchard
This is a yearly tradition for many families, and although perhaps a bit cliched, still tons of fun, no matter how old you are. For an extra bonus, some farms even have elaborate corn mazes, or orchards where you can pick your own apples.
Enjoy all the yummy seasonal treats
Apple cinnamon and the iconic pumpkin spice are flavors that make up delicious drinks and desserts for this time of year. Pinterest is filled with recipes for everything fall, from pumpkin spice lattes (homemade ones are so delicious and much cheaper than Starbucks!) and apple cider to pumpkin muffins and apple dumplings.
Have a movie marathon
If you happen to have a night with no plans, why not invite some friends over and binge your favorite show or movies? Curl up on the sofa with a blanket and some popcorn and treat yourselves to a few hours of relaxation and fun.
Enjoy being outside
Fall is that happy medium between the sweltering heat of summer and the freezing winter months, so why not take advantage of it and soak up some sunshine while you can? Go for a hike, do your homework outside, listen to that fall playlist, or curl up on a porch swing with a good book. In an era where we are spending more and more time indoors and on our phones, it’s good to take a break and get some fresh air.
