Dear Depression,
You’re taking our friends and family
You’re consuming people’s minds
And taking over loved ones
You just keep on spreading lies
And without a reason why
You tell them they are worthless,
And that their lives aren’t precious
You're more than an “emotion”
Don't give them that impression
Now we are losing loved ones
You’ve consumed so many teens
They aren’t your own property
Stop thinking you’re family
But we have our mighty God
Who is much bigger than you
He has a reason to save
And He does so every day
The people you thought you took
He is saving even them
Yes, He’s giving them a home
Where you’ll never be allowed
Depression, you have no power
No power over those who trust Him
