Fall, in my opinion, is the most beautiful season of the year and is a perfect opportunity to take amazing pictures of the scenery. Have you ever looked at the changing of the leaves and their colors, or the bright orange on the pumpkins and thought that that scene would make a great picture? However, when you got out your phone or camera and snapped the photo and looked back at it, it did not seem right or as good as you hoped it would be? If so, this article is for you, and after reading these tips, I assure you that you will come out with some excellent images this fall.
1. When taking pictures of leaves on the ground, avoid sunny days because you want to have an earthy feel to the leaves. On those overcast days, the light will look more brown, giving it the earthy aura. Bright sunny days always create lots of popped bright lights and high contrast.
2. When taking pictures of leaves on trees, always have a bright blue sky background. This background makes the color of the leaves almost glow against the sky. What also makes for a great picture is when you can get the sun halfway behind the leaf.
3. Always balance the brightness of the colors; either there need to be bright colors in the front and darker shades in the back, or there should be darker colors in the front and lighter colors in the back.

4. Edit your photos no matter what. It would be best if you did this to spruce up the picture; even though it may look well as it is, editing will improve it tremendously. You don't have to purchase expensive editing software; you can edit almost just as well on a smartphone, specifically, Apple smartphones. They are the best image- capturing phones.
5. Remember back to tip number one when I said to avoid sunny days when taking pictures of fallen leaves? Well, there is one other way to do it, and that is taking the image on a semi-cloudy day in water. It does not have to be in a lake like the one I took, but it can be in a puddle of water or a pool.
